Torcs were worn by Saxons, Huns, Romans, Celts and many other groups of people. Some were fancy, some plain. Some worn with the opening in the front (Celtic), some with a fastener in the back (Hun). For the Celts, gold was worn by the High King, silver by a sub-king or chief and brass by a warrior, male or female, that had distinguished themselves in battle. Most are 6 to 8 braided 14-16 gauge wire. No two of my torcs are the same as each is individually made by hand-braiding and assembled.
